Seniors Club Championship Part 2...
The Seniors Club Championship Part 2 is played as a Stableford event over 18 holes from the yellow tees using full handicap allowance. The course conditions were excellent and scoring did not appear too difficult. The winner of Part 2 was Alan Harmer with 39 pts scoring a string of 6 pars from holes 5 to 10. The handicapper has had him again! In second place was Graham Milo with 37 Pts and in 3rd was John Nash the leader in the club house from last week also with 37pts.
Overall Winner Seniors Championship
The overall winner of the Seniors Annual Championship is decided after taking ones score after 18 holes of medal play using full handicap from Part 1 and then deducting the Stableford score after a further 18 holes using full handicap. The player with the lowest combined score is the winner. This year the winner was John Nash (the good looking one on the left) who scored 70 in Part 1(medal) and 37(Stableford) in part 2 giving him a final score of 33. The Runner up was Charles Patchett with 72 - 36 = 36.
The Mafia 2 from 3 on at Thursday's Roll-up was a little less busy than Tuesdays eventful championship decider with five teams playing. Weather was still sunny but somewhat breezy. The winning team with 84pts was Dave Allen, Graham Milo and Alan Pinnegar and runners up with 79pts were Ian Kirwan, Roy Bright and Steve Artingstall. The best individual prize by a player not already attached to a winning team went to Pete Debono with 38pts.
