Conditions of Competition
Seniors Monthly Medals & Monthly Stablefords
- Monthly Medals & Stablefords will be played over 18 holes
2. Eligibility: Competitors must be over 55 years of age and paid up members of the Looe Golf Club Seniors Section.
- Booking: Is to be made through Club V1 Terminal at the club or via How Did I Do mobile device app before 1600 hrs on the day prior to the competition. Start times and playing partners will be made in Club V1 and all members informed of the draw details by1900 hrs.
- Handicap: Handicap Allowance for both formats is 95%.
- Tees: Yellow or White Tees will be nominated in both booking and draw details.
- Monthly Medal. Winner will be the player with the lowest gross score after 18 holes.*
- Monthly Stableford: Winner will be the player with the highest number of Stableford points after 18 holes.*
- Tied Competition: In the event of a tie the normal R&A countback procedure will be applied.
*The Seniors Committee have agreed that as a minimum of 10 holes, scaled up to an 18 hole score using WHS procedures, is acceptable for handicap purposes, Senior Monthly Medals and Stableford competition results will be decided using the same procedure and the scaled up 18 hole adjusted gross score will be adopted as the result of these competitions when main greens are out of play for maintenance.
The main reason for this is to prevent a backlog of competitions in the early part of the following year through cancellations because of unfavourable course conditions.
